Liz & Sean’s Summer Wedding at Battersea Park
By John Roberto · 13 June 2026 · 4 min read

Liz and Sean's summer wedding was a proper South West London day, and proof that you don't need to leave the city for greenery and space. Battersea Park gave them both: an outdoor ceremony at the park's ornate Victorian bandstand, and a relaxed reception nearby.
A ceremony at the bandstand
The bandstand is one of London's loveliest outdoor ceremony spots: wrought-iron detailing, a sweep of trees behind, and guests seated either side of the aisle in the open air. We photographed the vows and the first kiss from within the structure, then the recessional as Liz and Sean walked back out through their applauding friends and family.

Portraits in the park, and a bridge
What makes Battersea Park so good for photography is how much variety sits within a short walk: formal gardens, long tree-lined avenues, and the riverside path with Albert Bridge as a backdrop. We stole Liz and Sean away for ten or fifteen relaxed minutes (a twirl in the gardens, a quiet portrait by the river) and had them back among their guests before the drinks ran dry. The celebration carried on into a warm, easy marquee reception.
